Holiday Cheesecake Recipe

Today, we are going to make a yummy Holiday Cheesecake. It’s creamy, sweet, and perfect for celebrations! Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

- 1 ½ cups of graham cracker crumbs (that’s like tiny pieces of cookies!)

- ½ cup of melted butter (that’s the yellow stuff that makes things tasty!)

- 2 cups of cream cheese (this is the main part that makes it creamy!)

- 1 cup of sugar (this makes it sweet!)

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (this adds a yummy flavor!)

- 3 eggs (these help hold everything together!)

- 1 cup of sour cream (this makes it extra creamy and tangy!)

- Optional: some crushed candy canes or sprinkles for decoration!

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

First, we need to make the oven hot! Ask an adult to help you preheat the oven to 325°F (that's 160°C).

2. Make the Crust:

In a big bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter together. It should look like wet sand! Now, press this mixture into the bottom of a round cake pan. This will be our crust!

3. Mix the Cheesecake Filling:

In another bowl, beat the cream cheese with a mixer until it’s smooth. Then, add the sugar and mix again. Next, add the vanilla and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. Finally, stir in the sour cream until everything is mixed together nicely.

4. Pour and Bake:

Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the pan. Now, ask an adult to help you put it in the oven. Bake it for about 50-60 minutes. It should be set but still a little jiggly in the middle.

5. Cool Down:

After baking, let it cool down for a bit, then put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours (or overnight if you can wait!). This makes it super cold and delicious!

6. Decorate:

Before serving, you can sprinkle some crushed candy canes or colorful sprinkles on top to make it look festive!

Serving Size:

This recipe makes about 12 slices of cheesecake.
