Family Favorite Cheesecake Recipe

Family Favorite Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients:

- 1 ½ cups of graham cracker crumbs (that’s like tiny pieces of cookies!)

- ½ cup of melted butter (that’s the yummy stuff that makes things taste good!)

- 2 cups of cream cheese (it’s super creamy and delicious!)

- 1 cup of sugar (that’s what makes it sweet!)

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (it smells really nice!)

- 3 eggs (they come from chickens!)

- 1 cup of sour cream (it’s a little tangy but makes it creamy!)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

First, we need to make the oven hot! Ask an adult to help you preheat the oven to 325°F (that’s like making it warm and cozy).

2. Make the Crust:

In a big bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter together. It should look like wet sand! Then, press this mixture into the bottom of a round cake pan. This will be our crust!

3. Mix the Filling:

In another bowl, put the cream cheese and sugar. Use a mixer or a whisk to mix them until it’s super smooth. Then, add the vanilla and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. Finally, stir in the sour cream until everything is mixed together nicely.

4. Pour and Bake:

Pour the creamy mixture over the crust in the pan. Now, it’s time to bake! Put it in the oven and let it bake for about 50-60 minutes. It should be a little jiggly in the middle when it’s done.

5. Cool Down:

After baking, let it cool down for a while. Then, put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours (or overnight if you can wait!). This makes it super cold and yummy!

6. Serve and Enjoy:

Once it’s nice and cold, you can slice it up and share it with your family. Enjoy your delicious cheesecake!
