Caramel Drizzle Cheesecake Recipe


Ingredients:


- 1 cup of crushed graham crackers (these are like little crunchy cookies)

- 1/4 cup of melted butter (this is the yummy stuff that makes everything taste good)

- 2 packages (16 oz) of cream cheese (this is the soft, creamy cheese)

- 1 cup of sugar (this makes it sweet like candy)

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (this is what makes it smell and taste super yummy)

- 2 eggs (these are from chickens and help hold everything together)

- 1 cup of caramel sauce (this is the gooey, sweet topping)

- A pinch of salt (just a little bit to make everything taste better)



Instructions:


1. Make the Crust: 

First, we need to make the bottom of our cheesecake. In a bowl, mix the crushed graham crackers and melted butter together. It should look like wet sand. Now, press this mixture into the bottom of a round cake pan. This is our crust!


2. Mix the Cheesecake Filling: 

In another big bowl, put the cream cheese and sugar. Use a mixer (or a whisk if you want to be strong!) to mix them until it’s smooth and creamy. Then, add the vanilla and eggs. Mix again until everything is well combined. 


3. Pour and Bake: 

Now, pour this creamy mixture over the crust in the cake pan. It’s going to look so good! Ask an adult to help you put it in the oven at 325°F (about 160°C) for 50-60 minutes. It’s ready when the edges look set but the middle is still a little jiggly.


4. Cool Down: 

After baking, let it cool down for a bit, then put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours (or overnight if you can wait!). This helps it get nice and firm.


5. Add the Caramel: 

When you’re ready to eat, drizzle the caramel sauce on top of the cheesecake. You can even add some extra crushed graham crackers or nuts if you like!

This recipe makes about 12 slices.
